Kick-off Event
The CLCA San Diego Chapter year begins with an entertaining evening where attendees can meet the new board of directors, learn about the chapter’s plans for the year and mingle with other chapter members. These events provide a great opportunity to meet other members in an informal atmosphere, network and form relationships that will be helpful for business in the future.
CLCA Leadership Conference
Each year, members of the CLCA San Diego board of directors participate in the CLCA Leadership Conference, meeting with leaders from chapters around the state to hone their leadership skills and gear up for the coming year.
Educational Meetings
Keeping abreast of new information and technologies is key to your success. Each year, the chapter provides several opportunities to keep our members informed and help them succeed. Educational seminars are geared toward owners and foreman level employees covering topics such as: Irrigation Technology, Edible Gardens, Estimating, Team Management, Soils and Fertilizers, Pruning, Grading and Drainage, Sustainability and other areas.
Annual Golf Tournament
One of the most anticipated chapter events of the year is the annual golf tournament which serves as a fund raiser for the chapter and another opportunity to mingle with contractors and suppliers. Following a day of golf, participants enjoy a great dinner, awards presentation and the not-to-be-rivaled raffle drawing.
Public Awareness/Community Service
Throughout the year, volunteers from the chapter promote the landscape industry and the advantages of hiring a licensed landscape professional as well as promoting chapter members by participating in a number of community events and garden shows. Members also promote the industry and the association by assisting with community service projects.
Annual Beautification Awards
See the 2022 Beautification Awards winners here. This is one of the chapter’s biggest events. The evening is highlighted by an audio visual presentation featuring all the projects entered and is publicized in the local media. Receiving a CLCA San Diego Chapter Award shows that your company’s work is top notch and provides many marketing opportunities.
Holiday Dinner
The annual holiday dinner provides chapter members with one final opportunity to get together with CLCA friends and look back on a year of great activities. It also allows the chapter to recognize the contributions of sponsors and members during the past year.
