June 28: San Diego Chapter Beautification Awards Banquet
Mark your calendar for the 2013 CLCA San Diego Chapter Beautification Awards on June 28, from 6 to 10 p.m., at the Joan Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice, University of San Diego,

. Cocktails and dinner will be served in the Garden by the Sea with the presentation in the auditorium.
Join contractors and suppliers from all over San Diego County for a gala evening of networking and viewing the best of the best in Landscape Contracting in San Diego. All members are encouraged to attend whether they entered a project or not. If you did enter, don’t forget to bring your project foremen and/or your client. August 2: Chapter Annual Golf Tournament
Join us at The Crossings at Carlsbad, 5800 The Crossings Dr., Carlsbad, for the CLCA San Diego Chapter Annual Golf Tournament. Registration is from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The 4-person scramble will begin with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. No host cocktails and dinner to follow the tournament. August 13: San Diego Chapter General Chapter Meeting
CLCA San Diego General Chapter Meeting at Coco's in Rancho Bernardo, 16759 Bernardo Center Dr. 8:45 a.m. networking and breakfast, 9:15 a.m. meeting. $5 donation for breakfast encouraged. All members welcome.
Landscape Industry Certified Testing at Cuyamaca College
The CLCA recently held the Landscape Certified Technician Test in San Diego at Cuyamaca College. Thank you to all the suppliers and volunteers who gave of their time and products to make the event a success. And, thank you to the crew at Ewing Irrigation for providing a wonderful BBQ lunch.

Rocktoberfest Rocks at KRC
There's nothing like a piping hot pizza fresh out of KRC's outdoor brick oven to compliment an ice cold beer shared with friends and colleagues.
Over 80 CLCA San Diego members and their guests put this to the test on Thursday, October 27, during the chapter's annual Oktoberfest get together. With no agenda beyond socializing with other industry professionals, this get together is always well attended with members old and new appearing "out of the woodwork."
This year's event was held at KRC Rock's demonstration yard, complete with a new outdoor kitchen and pizza oven. Thank you KRC Rock for hosting the event and for the great pizza, and thank you to all who came out to enjoy it!
