March 25: Educational Seminar and New Member Lunch
Recession Proof Business Practices. 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. El Torito, Mira Mesa. New Member luncheon to follow from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
March 27 and April 10: Landscape Industry Certified Test in San Diego
 The Spring Landscape Industry Certification (formerly Certified Landscape Technician) field test will be held at Cuyamaca College on Saturday, April 10. The LIC written exams will be held on March 27, and June 5, at Cuyamaca College.
The chapter will also need help preparing the test site and administering the test -- everything from equipment to judges, so think about how you would like to help out.

March 30: Water Management Certification Training and Test
San Diego County Water Authority, 4677 Overland Ave., San Diego. Training from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Certification test from 1 - 3 p.m. For additional information and to register, visit the CLCA website .
April 8: Board Meeting
The
April board meeting will be held on the second THURSDAY of the month, April 8, at 8:30 a.m. at Scripps Ranch Library, 10301 Scripps Lake
Drive. All members are welcome.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A CHANGE FROM THE USUAL SECOND TUESDAY MEETINGS. ALL BOARD MEETINGS WILL NOT BE HELD ON THE SECOND THURSDAY.
April 9: Beautification Awards Entries Due
The entry deadline for the CLCA San Diego Chapter Beautification Awards is just around the corner -- April 9 -- with judging to take place May 3-7. The awards program will be held June 25. We encourage all members to enter at least one project. You do have a chance to be recognized, no matter the size of your business.

May 21: Chapter Golf Tournament
Join us on May 21, at the Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club, 14050 Carmel Ridge Road, San Diego, (858) 487-9224.
Registration at 11:00 a.m. and a shotgun start at 12 p.m. A box lunch will be provided prior to the shotgun start. The format will be a 2 person scramble. Dinner, awards and raffle drawing after the game.
